Report: Russian minister sees 1st privatization deal by Sep
ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 16 (PRIME) -- The Russian government’s first privatization deal may take place before September and two or three more deals may take place sometime in September–November, Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev told RBC TV channel on Thursday.
“I think that we can hold one (privatization deal) in the summer window of opportunities, we will most likely hold one deal. I will not name it,” he said. Two or three assets could be sold sometime in September–November, he said.
The government’s privatization list for 2016 includes stakes in VTB Bank, oil major Rosneft, uncut diamond monopoly ALROSA, oil company Bashneft, and shipping company Sovcomflot.
